The CLT is excited to welcome Warren Sides to our team as this year’s Faculty Lead! Warren will be working with the Experiential Learning Learning Community that began last spring, and undertaking other projects supporting faculty professional development. You’ve almost definitely seen him around campus, but if you don’t know him yet, read on.
I’m an associate professor of mathematics. I’ve been teaching at Champlain College for 16 years starting, as an adjunct instructor. My areas of expertise are in abstract algebra, logic, history, and philosophy of mathematics, and I’ve also studied social impact and creative pedagogies. In addition to academic pursuits, I enjoy cooking, heavy metal music, and spending time with my family.
In the CLT, Warren hopes to engage with faculty on experiential learning, inclusive pedagogies, and student-faculty interactions.
We’re thrilled to have Warren on the team! Join him at his workshop “Share Your Experiential Learning Tips: From Doing to Learning” on September 20 at 10am in the MIC Vista Room!
